MICROBLADING AFTERCARE.
MICROBLADING AFTERCARE GUIDELINES
Proper care following your procedure is important to achieve the very best results. Bear in mind that some unevenness of symmetry, depth and colour is to be expected whilst they are healing. A Touch Up is available after 5-6 weeks, depending on your healed results.
Please review the following directions and refer to them as necessary. For the first day ice packed protected with a clean cloth may be applied to reduce any swelling that may occur.
6-8 Week Touch Up
To book a touch up please contact us in 4-5 weeks.
Following the healing period, your brows may need a touch up. This is roughly 5-6 weeks after the initial procedure. It takes a minimum of 4-weeks for the pigment colour to settle and give your brows time to heal properly. The touch up is shorter than the initial procedure. Its purpose is to correct any irregularities. This is a repetition of the initial procedure but focuses on any areas that need to be adapted or corrected.

For the following 72 hours you may experience:

-
Flaking
-
Tenderness
-
Dryness and itchiness in the treated area
-
Swelling & redness
Daily care to follow for at least one week until your procedure has fully healed:

-
Always wash your hands before applying the aftercare healing gel
-
Apply minimum of 2 times daily, using a cotton bud
-
Prevent cross-contamination of your healing balm by using a clean cotton bud for each application
-
We recommend you use a gentle face cleanser to clean the face during the healing period
-
Some itching is normal. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR SCRATCH the treated area or the colour may heal unevenly, fade or you risk scarring and infection. Allow the wound to flake on its own
-
No makeup to the treated area for 7 days
-
Do not expose the healing skin to direct sun, tanning beds, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray, hot water, skin creams or ointments other than those instructed for use, for 2 weeks after the procedure. If the area gets wet, gently pat dry using clean tissue
-
Infection can occur if aftercare instructions are not followed correctly. Please contact GP if area remains inflamed

Remember, your selected colour will be stronger and more sharply defined immediately after treatment but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten up to 50%.
