Aftercare instructions for freshly Microbladed brows
Hello, Gorgeous!
Its Simonne-Louise at Simply Brows Microblading and Aesthetics of Warwick.Congratulations on your new set of Microbladed eyebrows.
I'm thrilled to have given you the gift of flawless brows that perfectly frame your face. Now, it's essential to take care of them properly during the healing process to ensure the best results possible. Here are our expert aftercare instructions:
1. Keep Your Hands Off: Resist the temptation to touch or scratch your freshly Microbladed eyebrows. Your hands may carry bacteria that can lead to infections or disrupt the healing process. If you must touch them, make sure your hands are clean and sanitised.
2. No Water for the First 24 Hours: Avoid getting your eyebrows wet for the first 24 hours after the Microblading procedure. This includes keeping them dry during showers and washing your face with a damp cloth, being cautious not to touch the eyebrow area.
3. Gently Cleanse and Moisturise: After the initial 24 hours, gently cleanse your eyebrows once a day with a mild, unscented cleanser. Avoid using any harsh products or exfoliants on the treated area. Pat dry with a clean tissue, and then apply a thin layer of the provided aftercare ointment to keep the skin moisturised.
4. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your newly Microbladed brows from direct sunlight and tanning beds during the healing process. Sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade prematurely, so be sure to wear a hat or use a sunblock with at least SPF 30 when outdoors.
5. Say No to Makeup and Beauty Treatments: For at least ten days, avoid applying makeup or skincare products directly on the treated area. This includes avoiding eyebrow makeup, creams, serums, and chemical peels. Any products containing exfoliants or retinol should be kept away from your eyebrows.
6. Avoid Sweating and Excessive Exercise: Try to minimise sweating and avoid strenuous exercise during the healing process, as excess sweat can disrupt the pigment's settling process and increase the risk of infection. 2 weeks is the recommended time frame.
7. Don't Pick or Peel: As your eyebrows heal, they may scab or flake slightly. It's essential not to pick, scratch, or peel at any scabs that form. Let the skin naturally shed the excess pigment and heal itself.
8. Sleep on Your Back: If possible, sleep on your back for the first few nights after the Microblading procedure. Avoid pressing your face into the pillow, as this can cause irritation to the freshly treated area.
9. Attend Your Follow-Up Appointment: Around six to eight weeks after your initial Microblading session, you have the option to attend a follow-up appointment. This touch-up session allows me to perfect the shape and colour of your eyebrows and ensure any pigment that has not healed evenly can be corrected.
Remember, every individual's skin is unique, and healing times can vary. In most cases, the full healing process takes about five to six weeks. Be patient and gentle with your brows during this time, and you'll be rewarded with stunning, long-lasting results.
If you have any concerns or questions during the healing process, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Im here to guide you through every step of your Microblading journey.
